While standing in line at Kroger this afternoon, guilt got the best of me and I finally joined the reusable bag club with the purchase of ten of the fine bags pictured here. I don't always turn off the water when I brush my teeth, and I take many showers that are much too hot and long, but at least now I can say I'm doing my part to go green. I don't think there is a total transformation in the works, but I've made a start.

This is the only concession we'll be making to the hippies.
Now you just have to remember to TAKE them to the grocery store =) Mine never seem to make it back to the car after a trip in the house, therefore negating the purpose when I'm at the store the next time =(
That's my prob, too. I have a billion of them cause I forget them at home and then buy a couple more.
I admit, getting them to and out of the car is an issue - but you'll LOVE THEM. Watch! You can carry so much more in them, than plastic - and you can put them over your shoulder. Takes me half as many trips to get crap out of the car and onto the kitchen floor for my baby to stomp on.
Love the song you added! I can picture you singing it to Sara. It was so nice to be with all of you last week. Hard to leave!
Good idea about the bags...you do want the environment to be in good shape for Sara as she grows up. I agree every bit helps everyone.
Love

Hey Katie-
I have the reusable bags too! I love them. Your generations pictures are so pretty! Can't wait to see you guys in June! :)
ugggh - i can't believe you said you are going green... Kaaaaatiiiieee..... although i use the bags too, just not at the grocery store. What does Steve say about "going green?" hahahaha!!!
Steve thinks that every time someone utters the phrase "going green" that it makes the baby Jesus cry.
