First, let me start very geniunely by saying how thankful I am to have a husband who is an amazing dad. On Tuesday, when my body decided to purge itself of anything and everything and I spent the entire day in bed or on the cold tile of the bathroom, Steve took over on baby/home/dog/etc. duty like a champ. And when I spent the better part of Wednesday and even part of today recovering, he continued to run this home like a well-oiled machine. Needless to say, it has been a miserable few days for everyone (but mostly for me, mind you). Luckily, neither Steve nor Sara has shown any of the signs of bodily trauma that threatened my very existence less than seventy-two hours ago.
And what's funny is that over the weekend, I had thought to myself, It's time for me to do something very intentional to rid my body of these ten extra pounds I've been carrying around in my hips since December.
Well, now. Be careful what you wish for.
Tomorrow we are leaving on our road trip to Minnesota. You're probably thinking that we're either crazy or just too broke to buy plane tickets. In fact, you are right on both accounts. However, the trip will allow us to stop and see some friends, family, and places along the way that haven't been graced by our presence in too many years. Our first stop will be Friday night in KCMO with Craig and Lisa. I'm especially looking forward to stopping in Ames to visit Cyclone Country and all of the wonderful memories stored there among the buildings, houses, and establishments of other varieties. We'll be coming back with some new gear to sport during what I'm sure will be another disappointing football season.
Now it's time to pack. If you think of it, say a little prayer that we all still love each other by the time we roll back into Wylie, Texas!

Enjoy your trip to MN. Luke and I are actually driving back from KC as I write this! I love all of your pictures. Sara is adorable! I can't believe how quicky she is growing.
Hey...I thought it was strange not to hear from you...So, I checked out your blog. (By the way, yours inspired mine!) Bless your heart and I am happy that Steve was so good to you and Sara! I am so sorry that you were ill feeling. Hanging out on the cold tile floor is ONLY fun for "dust bunnies"!!! I need to lose 20+ pounds...maybe, I could borrow your "bug"!!! Ok, maybe not-giggle!!! I hope you have a wonderful time showing off your beautiful family. Seeing all your buddies will be so much fun!!! By the way, I love that walker looking thing. What kind of walker thing is it???
