Apparently this week is The Week of the Young Child. I didn't realize such a week existed, but Sara's school did, and they are being intentional about celebrating. For starters, we had to complete some homework this weekend: an "All About Me" poster on a piece of scrapbook paper. There were no directions about format (not that there should be for toddlers -- that sounds silly now that I wrote it), so I wasn't sure where we should begin. I thought of listing some of her favorites, but then the bulk of the page would have been taken up with my handwriting. After considering the fact that a poster all about Sara should, for the most part, be completed all by Sara, I decided that a few pictures and some of Sara's own artwork would suffice. I started by letting Sara paint the paper using water colors, which she really loved.
We added some pictures (I cut them, she stuck them), some Dora and Thomas stickers, and called it good. Viola...
It's probably ridiculous, but this type of project makes me nervous. I hope I'm not way off the mark (even though there really weren't any guidelines) ... I guess I'll find out when I see all of the others hanging in the hallway outside of Sara's classroom this week. She's proud of it, though, so that's what matters.

Great Artwork! I think that tells alot about Sara - She did a great job on using the different materials you gave her. This one should go into her Keep box!
