Looth Tooth

Sara has recently enjoyed The Berenstain Bears story of Sister Bear's "looth tooth", and she'd been wondering when she would have one, especially since many of her friends were beginning to lose teeth.  When G&G visited in April, they brought her a decorate-your-own tooth fairy box project, and that propelled her even further into wondering when she'd have a loose tooth.

When we were eating corn on the cob at the lake last weekend, Sara said the corn hurt her teeth, and I wondered whether she was getting ready to lose some teeth.  Yesterday at lunch when her sandwich was hurting, I stuck my finger in her mouth to check and, low and behold, her bottom right tooth was wiggly.  The whole pulling teeth thing gives me the heebie-jeebies, but not Steve, so when he got home from work yesterday evening, he talked Sara into pulling it out with some help from a piece of floss.

She was thrilled!
And thrilled again this morning that the Tooth Fairy visited during the night!  In her box, Sara found a dollar and a little thank you note from the TF.

Sara's no-nonsense, drama-free response to this grand event, in a nutshell: "This is SO awesome!  I can't believe the best day of my life actually happened!"
