I officially have kids who will drop anything to go shopping at Target. It's only natural, right? Emma received a Target gift card for her birthday, which she had to go spend shortly after.
Sara's shopping recently has revolved around clothes. She loves perusing the racks at Target. This picture is from early September, but when we were there today, she told me I could go get what I needed and she'd text me when she was done looking at the clothes...
Also in September, Steve and I cleaned up to attend a wedding. It was certainly the largest group of people we'd been around in a very long time, but we felt safe and enjoyed our night out!
As usual, our fall weekends have been dedicated to sports. Softball will wrap up tonight with another championship game, and we have a few weeks left of this soccer season. Of course one season just blends into the next. Emma loves every minute!

Sara has been busy at cheer, too. We are glad that some competitions were scheduled for this winter. We'll see what happens, but for now, her team is committed to three - they are doing more showcases in-house, but she's excited to have some events on the calendar.
Last week, Emma finally was able to change out her original earrings. She took good care of her ears and was super patient, which made the first change super quick and easy!

I snapped this one evening on the way to practice. This girl works hard!
A couple of weeks ago, we made it back to Paint 'n Party! Back in May or so, it was looking like P'nP would have to close for good and we were so sad. A fundraiser kept them alive, and now you can make reservations to go paint. Always a fun time!
We've taken advantage of some nice fall weather to enjoy patio dining. Since many places no longer give paper menus and crayons, we've been bringing our own and playing round after round of Hangman. Always lots of laughs!
Jim even enjoyed his first patio dining recently at Lazy Dog after a trip to the dog park.
I'm realizing these are totally out of order. Oh, well - same general time frame. A few Sundays ago, Emma was complaining of a sore throat, and I knew I couldn't send her to school so I took her to the after hours clinic last minute that day. Turned out to be strep, which was really best case scenario. With meds, she bounced back quickly!
Last week, a couple of moms set up a little Halloween treat for the girls after practice. This group has gelled so well and it's been fun to watch them!
I guess my pics have been really Emma-heavy. Sara is around, too! She recently made a nice chunk of money cat-sitting for our neighbors who were out of town for almost a month. I'm so proud of how responsible she is. She's loving middle school, and had straight A's on her first report card!
During November, we're looking forward to a soccer tournament, a weekend in MN, and a Thanksgiving trip to Broken Bow! Also - we are SO looking forward to the election being over. Right?!
